A Little About Me 🤎
Hey! I’m Leila, I’m 15 years old, and pretty much everything I do revolves around horses.
I ride, train, barrel race, run my own business, and spend a lot of my time learning anything I can about horses and how to take better care of them.
I’m especially interested in equine wellness. I have completed and continue to study certified classes in Equine Fascial Massage, Equine Nutrition, and Red Light Laser Therapy for horses, along with additional education and training in different areas of equine care. I love learning about how horses’ bodies work and what we can do to keep them feeling their best.

I’m always learning and adding to what I know because I definitely don’t think anyone can ever know everything about horses. Every horse is different, and every horse teaches you something new.
I’m also a barrel racer, so performance horses are a huge part of my life. I love the competition, but I also really enjoy everything that happens behind the scenes conditioning, training, nutrition, recovery, and building a partnership with your horse.

Then there’s Ruby’s Rodeo Beads!
I run my own small business where I make custom beaded tack and other equestrian products. I started it because I loved horses, tack, and making things, and it has grown into something I’m really proud of.

I also want this space to be more than just about my business. I’ll be sharing things I’ve learned along the way, including homemade horse treat recipes, poultice recipes, liniments, grooming ideas, horse-care tips, and other DIY projects.

I’ll share what I use, what I’ve learned, and things that have worked well for me and my horses. I’ll also be honest about what I’m still learning because I think that’s important. DIY horse care isn’t something to take lightly, and anything involving treatments or ingredients should always be used safely and appropriately for the individual horse.
Between barrel racing, running a business, learning about equine wellness, and taking care of my horses, I stay pretty busy but I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way.
I’m only 15, and I still have a LOT I want to learn and accomplish. I’m excited to share the journey, the good runs, the bad runs, the business side, the horse-care stuff, and everything in between.
So welcome! And this is just the beginning. 🐴✨
